At Upbuild, we see that it is the ego that gets in the way of trust. The ego expresses itself in the form of proving and defending, rather than acknowledging and understanding. Through the practice of “processed vulnerability,” we can build a framework and language to speak about our underlying motivations and insecurities, and thus begin to take off our ego masks. Over time, as people feel increasingly comfortable being themselves and communicating authentically what they’re going through, a natural sense of trust gathers momentum.
