Moving Into Action

Insight without action is like a seed left unplanted. No matter how powerful a coaching conversation feels in the moment, without action, nothing changes.

In coaching, action is about alignment. The most powerful, sustainable steps come not from obligation, but from clarity about what matters and a deeper sense of who we are.

One of the best ways to move clients into aligned action is to treat action as an experiment. This shifts the focus from success or failure to learning, curiosity, and growth.

Powerful questions to spark action:

  • What is your next step?

  • What will you do, and when will you do it?

  • What actions might you experiment with?

  • What’s one thing you could do differently this week?

Coaching application: This week, invite each client to identify one experiment they can run before your next session. It should be doable, meaningful, and connected to what they care about most.

Life application: Choose one area in your life where you’ve felt stuck. Ask yourself: What’s one small experiment I could try? Then, plant the seed.
